To qualify, candidates should have at least one year of experience working in Nova Scotia in a highly skilled occupation. 

The program is aligned alongside the federal Express Entry immigration system, which enables successful applicants to receive expedited processing on their immigration applications.

• Nova Scotia Skilled Worker

Through this stream, Nova Scotia employers can recruit foreign workers and recently graduated international students whose skills are in demand in Nova Scotia. 

So, a skilled worker gets a job offer from a Nova Scotia employer. Then, they can apply the following stream to facilitate the immigration process.

• Nova Scotia Physicians

With the assistance of this stream, Nova Scotia can nominate individuals having a valid job offer from a Nova Scotia health organization.

• Nova Scotia Entrepreneur

To qualify, applicants need to have a significant net worth and be willing to use their business management experience to start a new business or purchase an existing business in Nova Scotia. 

Once operating their Nova Scotia business for one year, the applicants can be nominated for permanent resident status.

• Nova Scotia International Graduate Entrepreneur

The International Graduate Entrepreneur Stream perhaps targets recent graduates of Nova Scotia universities and colleges who have started or bought and operated a Nova Scotia business for at least one year.

Currently, the only occupations eligible for this program are NOC 3413, NOC 7511, NOC 7521 or NOC 7611.
